The Sales Account Management Professional is responsible for achieving significant long-term sales growth and customer satisfaction along with managing the overall customer relationship with the assigned accounts. This employee will work as a primary contact for assigned Automotive Tiered Supplier accounts, including engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing and other areas. This employee coordinates involvement of other team members as needed. Responsible for all business development and sales at assigned accounts and achieving significant sales and profit growth to meet or exceed goals set by the Sales Director or Global Account Owner while achieving superior supplier ratings and improved customer satisfaction.
Leads the direct sales process and achieving sales targets
Responsible for visits to current and potential clients
Leads the performing of routine account management activities
Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets
Ensures that clients receive high quality customer service
Communicate market trends, competitive info, new opportunities to sales & marketing team
Track and report out on new product / business opportunities
Develop and implement sales strategy for specific key accounts
Drive business results and meet, or exceed annual revenue plan that will contribute to Sensata’ s profit and growth objectives
Work with cross functional global teams in product management, account management, customer support and strategic marketing to define and implement specific value propositions for customers based on value selling.
Insightful and action-oriented business plans utilizing marketing and financial tools to communicate roadmap for sustained differentiation and growth
Lead current portfolio of products and services that are aligned with the segment and business strategies to drive growth.
Initiate product revenue growth strategies including product family positioning, market and competitive analysis, market segmentation and market penetration
Perform insightful competitor analysis and tactical action plans to gain market share, or defend base business.
Develop pricing strategies consistent with product positioning
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 3-5 years of experience (i.e. Bachelor degree) or a graduate degree in Engineering/Technical or Business Administration.
Solid understanding of automotive customers in Europe, especially with the German tiered suppliers (preferred).
Experience in global coordination within a global, fast changing matrix organization.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Commercial skills, negotiating skills, customer orientation, communication & presentation skills and understanding for future business potential.
Fluency in German and English is essential.
Travel to customer and Sensata locations as needed
Strong drive and organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
