Sensata Technologies, Inc. Warranty Manager in Troy, Michigan

JOB DUTIES: Create structure within processes, roles and procedures around automatic warranty claim systems European Original Equipment Manufacturer. Visualize Pareto Costs on field replacement to drive Customer Quality Efforts to minimize warranty costs for Sensata. Project Management of Customer Quality and Logistic, and Supplier Warranty Claims. Negotiate (until settlement) directly with customers and suppliers on significant claims. Develop and execute Supplier Warranty Recovery Management for Spills. Negotiate Supplier Warranty Contracts as required. Negotiate and Review New Customer Warranty Contracts. As a member of the Charge Back Management Steering Team, create flawless process for all charge back verifications including software solutions, role descriptions, training, process improvements and Charge Back avoidance. Improve and maintain OEM Warranty Reporting and software for raw field repairs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering and 5 years of experience in automotive warranty claim management. 5 years of working experience in quality functions, procedures and tools including: CQI-14, OESA warranty council member; Quality Systems ISO 9000, TS16949, and VDA 6.3; automotive quality management and manufacturing processes; AIAG manual including APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC; quality tools such as SPC, MSA, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP. 5 years of working experience in claim management and financial reserves management. 5 years managing responses to customer claims. 5 years of warranty management software such as Ubiquiti, and Data analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Query. 5 years of experience with Automotive customer portals such as DTNA, John Deere, and CNH extracting data for data analysis. 5 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology including the development and use of Paretos, 5 Whys, Fishbone analysis, and 8 Discipline’s Corrective Action Process. 5 years leading and supporting cross-functional teams including legal, sales, marketing, finance, and engineering to mitigate liabilities and ensure lessons are captured in controlled documents.
