Sensata Technologies, Inc. Payroll Specialist in Tijuana, Mexico
Responsible to ensure that Payroll system data base and HR Global System Workday data base contain the most updated current, by audits that results on identification of differences, that need to be follow and adjust in the system that requires.
Also support month end activities for the department.
Day-to-day operations/direct responsibilities:
Ensure that the promotion process it’s trigger properly in Workday
Ensure that salary change process it’s trigger properly in Workday
Identify promotions that have been fully approved, then send them for record in payroll system
Ensure that transactions notify in Workday Inbox are approved accordingly
Create a template for promotions for Direct Employees
Ensure that template is send to Comp & Benefits for mass upload into Workday
Keep updated Organization assignments in Workday
Ensure that supervisors are updated in Workday, if necessary open a ticket to create a supervisor profile for Workday
Hires for contingent workers, in Workday
Set-up in partnership with the IT, automated reports from payroll system (Modulo TRESS email)
Ensure that payroll system and Workday have updated information, thru audits
After Audit process, identify differences and prepare document to ensure that updates are made accordingly
Ensure that step ladder salaries are up to date in Workday, thru preparation of template for mass upload to Workday
Sent template to comp & Benefits for mass upload
Create Journal Entries base on the USA payroll reports sent by USA Payroll department
Sent the Journal entries to COE GL for posting
Create Journal entry base on UK payroll reports send by UK Payroll Department
Create Accrual Journal entries for CST USA companies:
Salary Month End Accrual
Hypo Tax Calculation
Create journal entry for Mexican entity 60:
Christmas Bonus Accrual
State Tax for Vacation and Christmas Bonus Reversible Accrual
Taxable and Non-Taxable Income
Gather information, Prepare and send Highlights (on the 25th/Internally on the 21st.)
Gather information, Prepare and send KPI’S (within the 5 first days of the month)
- Mercer terminations reports for actuarial calculations
Bachelor’s degree or above, Business Administration, Finance, HR or other equivalent or comparable.
Above 1 year of working experience on Maquila company
Basic Knowledge in accounting
Knowledgeable in TRESS system (Preferable)
Knowledgeable in Workday (Preferable)
Strong conceptual and analytical thinking ability.
Computer skills in MS office Excel (Mid-Advance Level -Ref: Pivot Table)
Highly motivated, customer focused, well organized and attention to detail.
Desire to learn and advance in a fast-paced organization.
Strong team player, Willing to take challenges
Strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
Good English language ability in reading, writing and speaking. (mid-Advance level)
