Maintenance Engineer supervisory responsibilities.
Technician support to fix urgent faults on site.
Organizing teams or individuals to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
Corrective maintenance coordinator.
Preventive and predictive maintenance coordinator.
As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee (with equal qualifications).
Maintenance engineer job responsibilities:
Responsible for establishing clear goals in maintenance department ensuring the achievement of OEE targets.
Responsible for managing maintenance technicians.
Responsible for implementing Total Production Maintenance “TPM”
Responsible for managing downtime in manufacturing equipment (MTTR/MTBF).
Responsible for complying safety rules in maintenance department.
Responsible for the budget control in maintenance department in coordination of engineering manager.
Responsible for updating and enforcing the maintenance certification matrix.
Responsible for design and apply continuous improvement to processes and machinery (POKAYOKES).
Responsible for ensuring compliance with the preventive maintenance plan.
Responsible for promoting the implementation of predictive maintenance in machinery and equipment in the area.
Responsible for managing corresponding spare part list updated in Tool Crib.
Responsible for new equipment evaluation, installation and validation.
Requires a Bachelor´s degree in mechanical or electronic engineering.
Requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience in the automotive or electronic industry.
Expert machine problem solving (Electronic, Mechanical, programing)
Knowledge in Electronic and electric systems.
Knowledge PLC Programing (AB, Mitsubishi, Omron, GE Fanuc, etc.)
Knowledge of Solid works.
Knowledge of high pressure systems.
Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerized systems.
Knowledge in Pneumatic / Hydraulic.
Lean six sigma green belt.
Knowledge in calibration and test process.
Knowledge in assembly and crimping.
Knowledge in leak tester process.
Knowledge in Servo drivers Programing.
Knowledge in RF and Ultrasonic sealing.
Basic Knowledge of laser Markers.
Knowledge in compressors.
Knowledge in automatic visual inspections.
Knowledge in furnaces, ovens, air condition systems.
Knowledge in printing process.
Knowledge in component electronic mounting systems.
Leads electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
Leads rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
