Sensata Technologies Aerospace business is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Coorindator who will be responsible for receiving parts to be shipped, verifying parts and quantities against paperwork, and packaging parts for shipping according to best practices and established packaging requirements. The Traffic and Shipping Coordinator will generate and prepare domestic and international paperwork for shipments, such as packing slips, invoices, bill of lading, and ITAR license documentations. The coordinator will also do pickups with courriers. Confers and corresponds information with Customer Service, Trade Compliance team, Brokers and Courriers. Works in rectifying problems, such as damages, shortages , and nonconformiance to specifications. Generate requisitions stores for shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory stock. Maintains all the shipping records and keeps files and papers organized. Will assist and support other activities in the warehouse, such as pull work orders, assist in cycle counts and maintain/organize area. This position is located in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Responsible for monitoring the merchandise leaving the shipping area. This includes creating shipping documents. Once an order has been filled, responsible for monitoring each shipment to make sure outgoing packages are packed correctly and accurately
Print labels via customer portals, courier systems and customer requirements
Affix shipping labels and instructions onto packed cartons
Work with customer portals to complete shippin process, such as Boeing, Honeywell and Hamilton
Maintains inventory of work in process (WIP)
Keep records of goods that have been shipped and received, preparing regular shipping reports
Schedule shipments and coordinate logistics in the area to manage incoming and outgoing shipment to ensure there is enough space for these activities
Perform customer service duties as necessary, maintaining good relationships with shipping companies and clients who are receiving goods
Intereact with other departments daily to prioritize objectives
Run daily backlog report to determine which orders are priority to ship
Dispatch carriers for pick up of freight in a timely manner
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Compare identifying information and counts, weigh or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against packing slips, bills of lading, invoices, supply carriers software and systems
Work in stockroom area
Perform inventory control activities, including cycle count, data entry, report generation and reconciliation
May prepare kitting packages for assembly production
Assemble cardboard containers or select pre-assembled containers
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
Operate tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or process shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area
Keep warehouse area cleaned, organized, and in a safe working environment
A successful candidate must have/be:
At least 1-2 year of related experience working in a warehouse/shipping environment
Able to read, writes, speak and understand the English language
Able to compute basic math
Knowledge of UPS World Ship system and Fed Ex Shipping System
Computer literate in Microsoft Office
Ability to walk and stand for extended time
Ability to work independent and multitask
Self motivated and can work in a group/team setting
This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR.
