The Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist achieves Sensata Technologies staffing objectives by managing full lifecycle recruiting to include but not limited to proactively identifying, recruiting and evaluating candidates; presenting and recommending candidates to hiring managers; recommending offer packages; securing offer acceptances from candidates.
Upon receipt of each new requisition schedules and conducts a recruiting strategy meeting with the hiring manager
Reviews job description and maps out the recruiting strategy to be utilized to fill the position
Posts the position both internally and externally on the Sensata Technologies job site as well as on any appropriate niche sites
Builds a diverse candidate pipeline by identifying and contacting passive candidates utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other various industry specific networking sites
Reviews the resumes of all candidates who have applied to the job posting
Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants using behavioral-based/targeted selection interview questions; analyzing responses and comparing qualifications to job requirements
Pre-closes candidates on compensation expectations to ensure predictable offer acceptance outcomes
Recommends qualified candidates to hiring managers for review and feedback
Consults with hiring managers to determine which candidates will be invited in for in person interviews
Coordinates the scheduling of phone and onsite interviews directly with candidates
Consults with the hiring manager and HRBP’s to determine offer details
Extends offer to the candidate, gains their acceptance and establishes a start date
Acts as a talent acquisition subject matter expert when advising hiring managers on all talent acquisition strategies, drives the talent acquisition process versus deferring to the hiring managers direction
Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; ensures hiring manger compliance with all employment/labor laws; conducts interview training with hiring managers if necessary
Develops strong working relationships with hiring managers, business leaders and HRBPs
Maintain regular contact with candidates to ensure candidates have a positive experience and remain engaged from initial contact through start date
Effectively positions and sells professional opportunities to both active and passive candidates
Acts as an ambassador of the Sensata Technologies brand when communicating with candidates and professional networks
Uses the full functionality of our applicant tracking system to manage the selection process
Actively sources, interviews, and evaluates candidates for specific job openings; utilizes Internet-based recruitment, online postings, networking (cold calling), and position advertising among other resources
Leads or participates in talent acquisition projects as needed to address operational issues or new initiatives to create a best in class recruitment organization
Determines if use of a third party search firm is warranted after all other sourcing strategies have been exhausted Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
5 years’ direct recruiting/sourcing/search firm experience required, engineering positions focus preferred
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment required
Must be proficient in the use of LinkedIn Recruiter
Prior experience with Boolean logic and other social media/online sourcing techniques
Proficient MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to speak positively about the organization and its people to potential candidates
Ability to think proactively and independently to get work done more efficiently and effectively
Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize many different assignments effectively
