Sensata Technologies, Inc. Human Resources Administrator in Thousand Oaks, California
Responsible for all New Hire and Termination processes; Ensures compliance in our HRIS system for all people changes
Coordinate and participate in the exit interview process
Manages onboarding process and ensures support to both managers and employees as part of new hire process
Run reports, creates and maintains HR data and site statistics on a monthly, weekly and quarterly basis
Creates/supports PowerPoint presentations for monthly business and quarterly all employee meetings
Creates and sends out communications on behalf of the HR team and provides follow-up where required
Acts as primary point of contract for all general HR related questions, when HR business partners are not available
Partner with site employee engagement lead to coordinate employee events, quarterly activities, recognition program events, and site program events
Support employee engagement initiatives and process improvements to foster/sustain positive working environment
Point of contact for temporary hiring invoice processing
Support HR business partners to provide support during the annual performance review process, talent management and compensation planning processes
Coordinates activities related to the ITAR security process for new hires, HR visitors, and prospecitive employees to ensure site compliance
Assist employees with interpretation of company policies and respond to inquiries and concerns; assuring that employee perspectives are heard and considered
Assist HR team in the execution of department specific projects as needed
Assists Benefits Team with the local Workers Comp and Leave of Absense processes in compliance with corporate and state/federal laws
Assists HR business partners with staying up to date on CA policy and law changes as it relates to employment laws
Provides consistent and exceptional customer experience to all stakeholders
Maintain integrity when handling highly confidential and critical information
Perform other projects/assignments as required and assigned
A successful candidate must have/be:
4+ years of related Administrative experience; HR administrative experience a plus
High School diploma required; some College or equivalent is preferred, but not required
A bachelor’s degree highly preferred
PHR/SPHR certification preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
Positive attitude and team player
Detail oriented and organized
Good analytical skills and must be proficient in MS Office suite
Able to adapt job activities methods or processes to satisfy changing environment
Customer-focused, proactive, positive and driven to achieve departmental and corporate goals in a fast pace and challenging environment
Ability to multitask and meet daily deadlines
General knowledge of HR best practices and California employment laws a plus
Takes initiative with job responsibilities, doing what is needed without being asked and providing follow-through
Utmost integrity and ability to handle a high level of confidential information appropriately
Exhibits adaptability by maintaining effectiveness in varying environments and with many different tasks, responsibilities and people; willingness to assist with any requests and take on new tasks with a positive attitude
Demonstrates a high level of dependability and reliability exhibited by being punctual and fulfilling all commitments
Because this position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR.
