Sensata Technologies, Inc. QA Systems and Software Auditor (FuSa and Cybersecurity) in Swindon, United Kingdom
The System & Software Quality Auditor will work within the Global Quality Centre of Excellence and be responsible for auditing and assessing Sensata product development projects to ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE and GREEN New Product Developments and Product Launches.
Designs, implements and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products
Conducts the planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution
Handles design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products
Conducts analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary
Develops methods for testing, sampling and training
May act as internal consultant by providing technical guidance on most complex projects
Works with quality inspection supervisors to train and oversee inspectors in their use of control forms, procedures, and correcting quality problems
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Key Responsibilities include:
Approve the project Quality Plans to ensure alignment with SPICE requirements.
Schedule & conduct independent quality audits to ensure that Quality Plans and processes are implemented as per project milestones.
Participate in Sprint reviews, product release meetings, & maturity gates sign off events.
Verify that the software and systems meet the required customer and internal acceptance criteria.
Ensure that non-conformances of work products, processes, and process activities with are identified, recorded, communicated to the relevant parties, tracked, resolved, and further prevented.
Escalate non-conformances to appropriate levels of management
Monitor and support Quality KPI's for software and systems development and launch.
The Systems and Software QA have the authority to stop software releases and raise the RED FLAG for the program.
Specific Experience / Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and competence:
Certified SPICE Assessor
Minimum of 4 years of experience with Software and systems development processes
Relevant technical qualification in embedded software development, electronics, or Electrical Engineering
Previous experience in a quality role within a high-tech, engineering and manufacturing environment.
Must be able to go into the details of the software and systems development in line with SPICE requirements
Excellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Experience with the ISO 26262 Functional Safety standard
Ability for limited travel to our offices/make sites around the world and to our customers globally.
Support global process development to comply with SPICE and safety standards.
