The Sourcing Project Management Office (PMO) within the Global Operations Procurement COE is seeking a Project Manager to work with local and regional Global Operations and Business teams in managing New Product Develop (NPD) and Change Management (CM) programs in support of revenue, productivity, design and quality improvements.

The Sourcing Project Manager will manage all aspects of NPD and CM program life-cycle and utilize the necessary training, processes and procedures, toolsets, and communication plan to effectively execute across the organization. The successful candidate will act as the focal point for Supply Chain NPD/CM activities on assigned programs, and will be required to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and affect short-term and long-term business goals. He/She will be accountable for timely execution of projects and will work within a cross-functional team. Interaction with Engineering, Planning, Operations and peers within the Sourcing and Procurement community will be paramount. Working across time zones and physical locations will enable the candidate to gain vast experience in a global network, and will challenge the individual to maintain exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.

Execution of Supply Chain NPD and CM programs (Growth, Design, Capacity, Supply).

  • Manage the entire project life-cycle; Concept, Development, Pre-launch and Production phases. Plan, direct and coordinate activities to complete assigned projects and ensure projects are completed within prescribed schedule and budget.

  • Actively maintain Project Plans to ensure all stakeholders are informed of program status, risks and issues and performance.

  • Interact with all stakeholders to maintain a high-level of effective communications and resolve problems and issues as they arise.

  • Manage and coordinate resource needs as appropriate within Global Operations which includes; Supplier Management, Quality, Production, Engineering, etc.

  • Assign work and ensure tasks are completed on-time.

  • Track and measure performance at each phase of the NPD/CM process.

  • Prepare status reports.

  • Align with all applicable functional and quality policies and procedures.

  • Deliver execution of the NPD/CM process is a direct deliverable as are maintaining communication of progress and knowing and having “ethical courage” to escalate and ensure projects are on-time and on-budget.

Responsibilities include:

  • As a member of New Product Development and Change Management project teams, the Sourcing Project Manager leads number of subprograms related to New Component Sourcing Process from project kick-off till completion of Product Quality Assurance (PQA) stages.

  • Supports Project Manager in defining and execution of New Component Sourcing Plan and define mutually with the project team members commitments and conditions.

  • Executes sourcing strategy within New Product Development or Change Management projects

  • Ensure customer and Sensata technical and quality requirements are flown down to the supplier and can be met to assure safe launch.

  • Lead the team, plan, assign work and coordinate activities to complete assigned new component sourcing projects and ensure they are within prescribed schedule and budget.

  • Actively maintain project plans and keep all stakeholders informed about project status, risks, issues and performance.

  • Interact with all stakeholders to maintain effective communications and resolve problems and issues as they arise. Escalate if needed, drive and achieve results.

  • Track and measure performance at each phase of the new component sourcing process and prepare status reports.

  • Manage and coordinate resource needs as appropriate within Global Operations which includes: Strategic and regional sourcing, Supplier Quality, Planning, Engineering, etc.

  • Align with all applicable functional and quality policies and procedures .

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business administration or Supply Chain

  • Project Management training or education preferred

  • Willing to develop in project management filed in supply chain (automotive industry & tech market)

  • Fluent English written and spoken

  • Strong communication skills

  • Self-driven and organized
