The Process Development Engineer is responsible for developing or modifying manufacturing processes to increase product performance, improve manufacturing efficiency and boost profits. This position works closely with design engineers, equipment vendors, program managers, marketing, and quality engineers to support the development of new electro mechanical products. They are responsible for providing the overall process design and suggesting measures to improve product design for manufacturability. This includes the development of new equipment and process flows as well as developing cost estimates for labor and capital. They will also provide ongoing sustaining support to production lines at our global make sites.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• You will research and develop new production processes

• You will lead improvement plans for efficiency, capacity, costs, lead time and quality of production

• You will define specifications for production equipment and interact with equipment suppliers

• You will lead the optimization and improvement of the production processes

• You will participate in global NPD (new product development) project teams to enable successful launch of new products

• You will provide guidelines to the Product Design Engineers in the product development phases to ensure Manufacturability/Assembly of the new products

• You will guide the young engineers within the team

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• 5+ years of relevant working experience

• Common understanding of Core Problem Solving Tools

• Advanced communication skills, written and verbally in English

• Good social and intercultural skills

• Pro-active attitude and ability to prioritize

• Project management skills are an advantage.
