Sensata Technologies, Inc. Indirect Procurement Specialist in Sofia, Bulgaria

The Indirect procurement Department of Sensata Bulgaria is responsible for purchasing all products and services not included in the finished goods produced by the company. The team is responsible not only for all Sensata sites in Bulgaria but also the other European locations of Sensata.

The Indirect Procurement Specialist obtains goods and services via contracts utilizing, competitive procurement processes such as formally advertised request for bid and request for quotations, negotiations, awarding, and performing all related work. Interfaces with vendors and customers daily to ensure all orders are filled in an accurate and timely manner. In addition, the Indirect Procurement Specialist manages the portfolio of vendors in the respective category through spend analysis, market researches, contract management, etc.

General Responsibilities

  • Assists with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis

  • Participates in the filling of purchase orders

  • Participates in the development of creating an accurate and efficient monitoring system

  • Assist with entering data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, to track purchases and the status of orders and deliveries, and to generate purchasing reports and statistics

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree)

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

The Indirect Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the category of Services.

The Procurement Specialist will be involved in negotiating and contracting with vendors in this category, working close with all departments of the company, as well as duly documenting all deals into the relevant tools and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

The Indirect Procurement Specialist has the responsibility for achieving best value when acquiring or contracting for goods or services. As such Indirect Procurement Specialist’s principal responsibilities are to:

  • Ensure an effective procurement process

  • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and liaise with legal department

  • Develop requests for quotations (RFQ), organize competitive biddings to obtain best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services in alignment with business needs

  • Cost Analysis

  • Work on Procurement Strategies at the category level, supplier level and individual transaction levels

  • Utilize data and reports to analyze spend & opportunities

  • Create purchase orders in response to requirements established by internal clients

  • Monitor the ordering process to meet deadlines and requirements of the business

  • Assess supplier performance

  • Maintain effective audit trails for all sourcing activities

  • Support key initiatives and projects

  • Work with accounts payable and finance department to ensure compliant P2P process

  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to maintain effective working relationships and build partnerships towards meeting corporate objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in economics or related field

  • 2+ year procurement experience with proven track record of cost saving and cost reductions

  • English language- Fluent

  • Good understanding and appreciation of contracts

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge and experience working with ERP systems

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Problem solving and multitasking skills

  • Proactive and effective team player
