Sensata Technologies, Inc. EDI Specialist in Sofia, Bulgaria

Sensata offers its customers and suppliers a comprehensive electronic data transaction solution via EDI and other structured formats (XML, EDIFACT, CSV, etc.). The EDI Team is responsible for working with customers and suppliers to setup all necessary technical and business-related requirements for a successful integration for these electronic documents.

As EDI Specialist you will be responsible to provide support for day-to-day and new development activities for all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)-related systems and interface points. This position will require interaction with both internal and external customers and coordination of activities with our 3rd-party provider.

General Responsibilities

  • Arranges the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems

  • Key participant in identifying gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost effective manner

  • Organizes the system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements

  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues

  • May be client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree)

  • Business ethics - Ability to practice and behave consistently and effectively in areas of business practice and conflicts of interest

  • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis

  • Customer Orientation - Ability to meet customers’ expectations by identifying and anticipating customers’ needs and integrating these into work; ability to develop new added value for customers and act with the customer in mind

  • Result orientation - Ability to take steps personally to ensure that mutual goals and performance targets are met within the appropriate timeframe

  • Planning and Organizing - Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work and schedules in all areas to meet requirements

  • Time Management - Ability to assessing your ability to manage your time, and the effectiveness of your team to reach department objectives

Functional Tasks/Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage current engagements with customers and suppliers

  • Anticipate and identify issues and develop recommendations and courses of action which are consistent with business objectives and functional requirements

  • Research and resolve error data feeds and communication problems, apply EDI setups

  • Develop and deliver system specifications and user-training documents

  • Act as Global Liaison between business teams (Customer Service, Order Management, Logistic, Finance, etc.), IT teams, and 3rd Party vendors, with the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience

  • Manage projects from inception through completion, gathering requirements and maintain project plans. Coordinate tasks completion with IT and Business team members

Required personal skills:

  • Good written and spoken communication skills

  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to prioritize work

  • A responsible attitude

  • Remaining calm under pressure

  • Detail oriented individual with the ability to coordinate numerous activities

  • Strong analytical skills and the desire to be part of a problem-solving team

  • Ability to successfully interface with all levels of management

Specialized Experience/Knowledge and technical skills considered as advantage:

  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) knowledge

  • Knowledge of financial or ERP systems

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Experience with UNIX

  • Experience with SQL
