Sensata Technologies, Inc. Commercial Specialist in Sofia, Bulgaria
Sensata Technologies is looking for a strong individual to support the marketing activities for the Heavy Vehicle and Off Road (HVOR) business to drive strong growth in the assigned market segment.
The Commercial Specialist will assist the HVOR marketing team with data and insights into market value, pricing and profitability of products or solutions and will be responsible to maintain pricing in Sensata’s ERP tool. The cooperative position will lead an effort to drive market-based analytics using multiple, fragmented data sets and sources of information with the aim of creating insights that optimize product strategy and profitability.
This cooperative role will closely interact with internal stakeholders like Product Marketing Management, Sales and Finance.
Price / value analysis of the HVOR portfolio in end markets including On-Road truck and bus, Agriculture, Construction, Motorcycles & Recreational Vehicles
Pricing forecasting and price maintenance support
Portfolio profitability analysis to support pricing recommendations
Analysis of volume and Rate Of Exchange impact on pricing
Support continuous improvement of the tools and data sources available to improve pricing excellence
Support other marketing / commercial excellence tasks as needed
Market size and segmentation analysis. Develop and maintain sources for market data and a system to track market size and its changes over time.
Generate deliverables to support periodical short term and long term strategic decision making processes.
Support market size and growth forecasting of existing and new business opportunities for manufacturing site planning and financial reporting (including quarterly, annual and long range plans).
Support the development of detailed customer proposals/quotations/business cases and obtain appropriate management approval.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize legislative, competitive and technical discontinuities and their impact, generating insight around opportunities or threats
Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and value proposition
Define product roadmaps and align with engineering on next generation products that need to be developed.
Achieve growth objectives through collaboration of cross-functional teams (including Sales, Engineering and Business functions).
Analyze marketing metrics to provide value based pricing strategy recommendations
Support the processes to maintain accurate pricing in the ERP system
Review contractual agreements and recommend improvements to align to acceptable commercial terms and conditions
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing or Engineering (MBA a plus)
Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Excellent oral and written communication skills - fluent in English (other languages a plus)
Proactive approach, and ability to work well under pressure
Proven success delivering results in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Working knowledge of heavy duty vehicle (on-road and/or off-road) industry is desirable
Experience with Demantra, Oracle, vehicle (e.g., IHS) market database a plus
Strong technical and commercial skills a plus

Has strong business acumen and has exceptional skills in data mining and statistical analysis
