Sensata Technologies, Inc. Systems Design Engineer in Pune, India
Reporting to the Systems Design Functional Lead you will provide leadership within cross functional teams to deliver automotive electronics projects to the world’s biggest automotive manufacturers. You will work within a continually evolving world class development process in a dynamic and exciting market.

Key Responsibilities include:
Leading hands-on proof-of-concept demonstrations to customers and development partners
Eliciting both external and internal stakeholder requirements for new products / features / technology developments
Working closely with customer technical and project personnel, including those of the world’s biggest automotive manufacturers
Systems Architecture development with roadmaps to increase feature sets, reduce cost, pursue integration opportunities and increase quality
Working closely with internal Sensata detailed sub system design teams to refine implementation of products / features / technologies & specifications to ensure they meet stakeholder’s needs.
Requirement management, and coordinating the distribution of product requirements to internal Sensata design teams
Modelling of system behaviour and development of vehicle integration level test tools for use in proving grounds and on road test environments
Performing the role of product owner in a cross functional agile team working within an ASPICE compliment development process
Key participant in routine enquiries from the organisation's sales force or customers about the technical aspects of the organization's information systems and products
Organise systems specifications and formalized representations of solutions (for example, flow charts, models) to configure systems that meet customer needs
Organise simple technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system
Deploying functionality either on Sensata developed hardware or working on integration projects with world class development partners.
Developing solutions for a range of automotive applications: Motorcycle, Passenger car, Van & Light Truck.
Deploying skills and knowledge of the organization's products and services by working closely with peers or and other engineering staff.
Experience/Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
Minimum of BEng degree in Electronics, Software or a related engineering discipline, with 5 years + experience
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organisation, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Customer facing role will require occasional foreign travel
Desirable:
Automotive CAN bus experience.
Use of CAN tools such as CANoe and CANdelaStudio.
Knowledge of Requirements Management tools
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture or other UML tools
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and deliver results
Experience developing products/systems compliant to ASPICE
Experience using Atlassian JIRA
