We are looking for a high energy, proven, and hands-on technical expert to join our IIoT development team. This individual will work across a broad spectrum of hardware technologies from concept to mass production including variety of sensors, embedded processors, wired/wireless SoCs and modules for connectivity in Industrial environments, internal and external interfaces and ramping up production of connected products.
These applications will be deployed at our customers all over the world and involve significant collaboration with our internal and external stakeholders including technology partners. An ideal candidate will have both the breadth and necessary depth in several technology domains across the IIoT stack to effectively drive and define building blocks of an end-to-end solution. Your sphere of influence will be all the way from low level embedded firmware architecture at the device level, real time operating systems (RTOS) and device drivers, wired/wireless connectivity technologies to edge gateways.

You will work in tight collaboration with our stakeholders (both business and technical), internal and external engineering teams, and our tech building block partners to create differentiated IIoT solutions.
Leads the development of the design of equipment, processes and systems that may include data networks, communications, and display
Advises on the analysis of equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design
Determines the feasibility from technical and economic perspectives
Presents in consultation meetings with research engineers or scientists and customer representatives to resolve design problems
Leads the team responsible for maintaining technical procedures, documentation and manuals
Compiles and analyzes operational data and directs tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes
Oversees the work of technicians and technologists who provide technical support
10+ years of experience in designing low / battery powered wireless (BLE, Zigbee) products
Experience in designing IoT devices with cellular module and long range technologies (NB-IoT, LTE-M, LoRaWAN etc.)
Expertise in electrical design, circuit simulation tools and analysis techniques
Experience with EMI/EMC good design practices in both schematic and PCB layout
Familiar with electronic packaging / enclosure design
Experience designing quality into the products (DFMEA, DFC, DFM)
Experience in working with contract manufacturing services and material suppliers
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 6+ years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)
BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of experience preferred
Strong engineering skills specifically in low power wireless architecture and circuit design
Ability to provide technical leadership related to product and process design
Ability to lead complex product design involving integration of hardware and software
Proven success in managing timely completion of engineering projects
Results oriented with track record of technically leading strong, effective teams
Experience in working in an Agile organization
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
