Sensata Technologies, Inc. IT Engineering System Professional in Pune, India

The IT Engineering Systems Professional will assists in the design, develop, test, and implementation of engineering applications. The candidate provides technical support for incoming queries and issues related to existing applications and sees problems through to resolution. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes, user needs, and technology opportunities and limitations, and provides a detailed description of requirements and steps required to develop and implement solutions.

General Responsibilities

  • Leads a team for configuration, security, performance analysis, and tuning as well as routine maintenance

  • Designs and develops processes and documented procedures to maintain and administer Active Directory and messaging environments

  • Provide knowledge transfer or training as required to other IT teams

  • Leads the IT team to design, plan, execute and support messaging integration/migration projects as part of acquisition or divesture activities

  • Leads the analysis, specification gathering, and quoting of IT infrastructure solutions

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Budget Management - Ability to project and present annual operation Expense and Capital budget in departmental budget process

  • Creative individuals with strong analytical and critical-thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve client technology related issues.

  • Research and prepare the standard computer ‘build’ to accommodate Sensata’ s standard operating system, hardware, accessories, and software.

  • Create and maintain the process of distribution of the operating system, system patches, applications, and application patches to existing staff computers.

  • Ensure that the Sensata supported operating system, application, and hardware solutions are appropriate to Sensata business users.

  • Optimize the deployment process to allow new workstations to be deployed to Sensata business users.

  • Evaluate PC hardware to adopt as enterprise standards

  • In-depth knowledge and experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows OS and various hardware/software related problems.

  • Competent and knowledgeable of windows-based computer systems and hardware.

  • Create, maintain, and deploy an image for Sensata various business environments.

  • Responsible of enterprise level software packaging/discovery/delivery via Tanium

  • Responsible for Software/patch delivery via SCCM

  • Resolve escalated Sensata computing environment incidents received by the Tier 2 PC support engineers.

  • Provide training and technical guidance to the Tier 2 PC support engineers.

  • Assist other technical support staff as needed.Other related functions as assigned.
