The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/ or market segment by actively selling the company’s products / related services. Employees in this position should actively work to expand accounts, contacts, and secure new business customers and /or contracts.

QCD

• Ensure quality product to be delivered and in case warranty and quality issue co-ordinate with internal quality team

• Benchmarking of competitor product and advise value proposition to customer with help of Marketing team

• Support existing customers on timely delivery with proper forecast from customer and alert to customer for any challenges to delivery due to external or internal factors

New Customer and New Business Generation

• Basic technical support & Business development activity

• Communicate business and technical information between the customer and Sensata

• Respond to requests for quotation & proposals and preparation of quotations for standard and custom products

• Establish relationships with existing customer base, understand their business needs and customer applications

• New Customer Identification & Business Generation.

Support activity

• Support to cross functional team like PMT , Quality CS for achieving customer satisfactions and need to drive respective function if needed

• Monthly customer forecast compilation & Monthly reports to management

• Support for annual & strategic planning activities

• Meeting and call set-up with Customer & Internal teams

• Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e., Bachelor’s degree) in Electronics / Electrical /Instrumentation Engineering or master’s degree in business management with 5-7 Years of experience in Automotive Sales.

• Current / Past working experience with Tier-1 automotive Component Group e.g.Anand Group, Hella, Bosch, Continental , Vitsaco , Delphi etc.

• Should have better connect with Indian & Global Truck, 2W , 3W Manufacturer

• Skills Required

• Must have excellent people management & negotiations skills

• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including Customer, suppliers and/or external customers

• Knowledge Required

• Knowledge of sensor and system like sensing parameters, sensor application, sensor technologies in Automotive & Electrification.

• Basic knowledge on program management & pricing management.

• Knowledge on Sales Force or similar tools.

• Knowledge on landed cost calculation from various global regions and countries.

• Knowledge on Indian Automotive industries especially Off Highway.

• Knowledge on Electrical vehicle architecture and suppliers
