Sensata Technologies, Inc. Test Engineer in Hengelo, Netherlands
The Test Engineer performs various diagnostic tests and analyses to create a process that would best test a particular product in manufacturing and related disciplines in order to assure that the product meets applicable specifications. In this position you work closely with design engineers, lab engineers, equipment suppliers , and quality engineers to support test execution. You are responsible for providing suggested measurements and results of those tests equipment’s. You also support engineering with planning and executing of exciting/modified tests plans. And maintain existing equipment to make sure test capability is guaranteed and no delays exist in test planning.
Collaborates on the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods through testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing
Key participant in test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures (Solid Works) and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
Organizes the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices
Ensure that programs are in compliance with standards for good laboratory practices good manufacturing practices and/or good clinical practices
May be responsible for setting the parameters and testing customer samples
Contribute to lab continuous improvement in the areas of safety , test integrity and efficiency.
Interface test set-ups with automated data acquisition equipment.
Experience / Qualifications
A College degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree)
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Basic knowledge of Solid Works
Have programming Skills in Labview.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
