We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and assembly of automation equipment for our high volume (5000+ per day) contactor production lines. This includes design reviews, documentation packages and validation reports. After release, includes sustaining engineering as production needs change or if maintenance needs are too high. This role will also partner with mechanical engineers for fixturing.
Develop designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex automation design and manufacturing challenges
Using a computer with Labview to control equipment such as: National Instruments I/O modules, barcode scanners, power supplies, hipot testers, custom made PCBAs, pneumatic actuators, computer controlled oscilloscopes
Programming control software in Labview, including data collection and part tracking in SQL
Validation testing, production launch, troubleshooting stations
Maintain equipment documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons learned
Analog and digital circuit design proficiency from the circuit board to transistor level
Understanding of electrical engineering principles
Proficient use of Labview for computer controlled automation equipment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with superiors, peers, suppliers and customers
Able to meet tight deadlines and work to targets
Problem solving and judgement ability to assess options and implications in order to identify a solution.
Ability to offer innovative solutions adapting to change, leading the change process
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience
Proficiency in Labview programming
Proficiency in: Circuit design and debugging, Analog (control and sensing), Digital, Debugging prototype and production circuits and test fixtures.
Microcontroller knowledge a plus
Proficiency with oscilloscopes
Strong Communication Skills: Oral, Written and Presentation
Experience with test equipment
Software skills: Orcad/Allegro PCBA a plus, SQL a plus
Preferred Experience in: Automation development, electro-mechanical systems, vacuum systems
0-10% travel required
