Sensata Technologies, Inc. Quality Engineer in Changzhou, China

POSITION SUMMARY

Quality engineer monitors and ensures the daily production activity is in compliance with customer/quality requirement, manages daily quality operation to ensure process quality control system is working, coordinates to resolve quality issues from production or customer complaints and makes continuous improvement with quality data analysis to achieve best cost quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for system development to meet customer/industrial requirement compliance.

  • Analyze, solve and control production quality problems on time to meet the customer requirements as ZERO PPM challenge.

  • Coordinate PPAP and provide PPAP documents to customer.

  • Be in charge of MSA for key process gauges and SPC for key processes.

  • Monitor and keep the implementation of quality control system with VDA tool application.

  • Actively participate and perform in LPA and internal audits.

  • Take part in external audits.

  • Develop procedures and work instructions.

  • Establish and follow procedure for control on non-conforming parts in production.

  • Train and manage technicians and inspectors to make sure corrective actions implemented and operators follow-up.

  • Collect and analyze quality data to make sure continuous improvement in production process.

REQUIREMENTS

  • B. S. degree or above, majoring in Engineering or other equivalent ones.

  • At least 2 Years of working experience in quality functions, and good knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 9000 / TS16949).

  • Be familiar with quality management and manufacturing processes; also familiar with AIAG manual: APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC a plus.

  • Be familiar with core quality tools such as SPC/MSA/PFMEA/8D/5Why/Fishbone/Minitab, etc.

  • Certified Quality Systems/TS internal auditor is preferred.

  • Program management experience is preferred.

  • Abundant assembly/function test/customer service experience is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills and history of influencing at all levels of an organization. Negotiation skills.

  • Ability to develop unique, differentiated solutions to complex problems strong problem solving skills.

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

  • 6 Sigma Green Belt or above is preferred.

  • Good English language ability in reading, writing and speaking.

  • Skills preferable not mandatory: Tooling.
