Sensata Technologies, Inc. Electrical Design Engineer in Changzhou, China
As an Electrical Design Engineer at Sensata, you will be tasked to work as an expert within a dedicated and talented engineering team. Key platform product development will be assigned. This will involve analyzing customer requirements, defining the hardware architecture, conducting validation and creating documentation packages etc. to ensure delivering high-reliability and cost-effective products to our global customers. More important, as an experienced engineer, this position should be influential, a role model of technical-focus and a reviewer of technical design review.
1. Participate/lead vehicle-control product development. Analyze customer requirements. Interface with customer, and internal cross functional teams. Develop cost estimates, plans, and schedules for new projects.
2.Design digital/analog circuit, component selection, schematics and PCB components layout check; Perform circuit calculation and simulation; Conduct test, debugging and electrical system functional verification.
3.Deliver engineering documents on time and on quality per development procedure: Hardware requirement specification, DFMEA, Worst Case analysis, Hardware thermal event analysis, HSI, HMI, Drawing, and DVP&R etc.
4.Be influential and the role model in EE team on technical-focus. Be the key reviewer on team design review.
5.Own EMC analysis, testing, and development optimization.
6.Organize and attend the Global / Local technical review meeting.
7.Support FuSa development according to IEC61508, ISO13849.
1.Major in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with bachelor or above degree.
2.Had 4 or above years hardware RD working experience, working experience in industrial and vehicle control product is preferred.
3. Experienced on both analog and digital circuit design. Be familiar with multi layers(≥6) PCBA layout, skillful either one of these tools: Mentor /Cadenc/Altium etc.;
4.Experience in embedded system design with Microchip, Arm, or other type MCU. Master different protocols (CAN, SPI, IIC, RS232, UART, USB, Ethernet etc.).
5.Deep understanding of hardware development procedure and deliverables. Good knowhow on DFMEA.
6.Good understanding in software design.
7.Comfortable in a lab environment using test equipment such as Oscilloscope, or others to characterize and analyze electrical circuits.
8.Good written and oral English skills. Can accept English as working language.
9.Experience in IEC61508, ISO13849, or ISO26262 is plus.
10.Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
11.Great ownership, attitude, and self-motivation.
Key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges
Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch
Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations
Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures
Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree)
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
