Sensata Technologies, Inc. Electrical Design Engineer in Changzhou, China

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Sensata, you will be tasked to work as an individual contributor within a dedicated and talented engineering team. This will involve designing, integrating, debugging, documenting, qualifying, etc to ensure delivering world class products to our customers. This position requires the one to take ownership of all aspects of the design project including analyzing customer requirements, defining the hardware architecture, Conducting validation and creating documentation packages etc. This position requires the individual to be able to work with cross function teams to ensure that the end product is both cost effective and optimal to meet the needs of the business.

Job Description:

Analyze customer requirements. Interface with customer, and internal cross functional teams (process, manufacturing, testing, PMT etc.). Develop cost estimates, plans, and schedules for new projects. Design digital/analog circuit, select electrical components, Components derating, Draft schematics and PCB components layout, Perform circuit calculation and simulation, Conduct debugging and electrical system functional verification. Ensure to meet all the necessary functional and hardware requirements. Revise the design specification, verification plan and all other design documentations based on new product development procedure. Follow up on prototype/sample making, and validation testing (durability test, EMC etc.). Generate corresponding reports. Own the electrical related tasks, in all phases of new product development and production lifecycles, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, customer/supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support. Organize and attend the Global / Local technical review meeting. Support FuSa development according to ISO26262. Investigate and benchmark different technical solutions to select competitive solutions and define product roadmap. Keep in touch with the supplier to achieve the latest technical information, applying to the product designs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Major in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with bachelor or above degree. Had 3 or above years hardware development working experience, working experience in automotive product is preferred. Good written and oral English skills. Can accept English as working language. Experience in electronics circuit and system analysis like electrical safety, EMC- Electro Magnetic Compatibility compliance, and product design on reliability. Experience in embedded system design with Microchip, Arm, or other type MCU or DSP. Knowledge of related protocol interfaces (LIN, SENT, CAN, SPI, IIC etc.) is plus. Experience in Digital / analog circuit design, be familiar with multi layers PWB / PWA layout, knows either one of these tools: Mentor /Cadence etc.; Basic concept or experience on design documentation including requirement analysis, design specification, testing and verification. Had quality awareness and follow the related product development working flow. Comfortable in a lab environment using test equipment such as Oscilloscope, or others to characterize and analyze electrical circuits. Experience in ISO26262 is plus. Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Great ownership, attitude, and self-motivation.
