The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for a variety of aspects including forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analyzing the company’s finance and expenses.
Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools
Analyze the market and identify opportunities for growth and potential risks
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
A world leader in mission critical sensors and controls designed to make the world cleaner, safer and more efficient is seeking a Financial Analyst or similar (depends on experience) for its operations in Europe based out of Bulgaria. The position reports to the Finance Director of Operations for Sensing Solutions.
The ideal candidate will oversee financial analysis, financial planning and standard cost accounting/analysis.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide the operations leaders with actionable insights and analysis to define, measure and deliver world-class performance and productivity
Lead/support the annual standard cost update process ensuring timely & accurate cost rolls while harmonizing local conventions to Sensata global frameworks
Support preparation of all presentation materials for the annual operating plan and all forecasting work-streams
Partner with GM’s for related planning of resources and expenses, model the optimal cost-benefit scenarios.Develop operating mechanisms to drive performance to established targets.
Ensure inventory accuracy and transactional controllership for all material movements across the sites
Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Skills & Experience:
Previous experience as a Financial Analyst or Cost Accountant
Profit or cost center experience, site manufacturing experience.
Over 3-4 years experience
Strong experience with FP&A, strategic planning, standard cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital project management.
Proven ability to develop strong business partnerships, operate in a strategic capacity, lead through influence and drive impact in a cross-functional environment
Highly effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills
Demonstrated ability to execute across several concurrent, high-exposure deliverables
Ability to analyze large sets of data to extract key themes to turn them into actionable insights for functional leaders
Well-developed written and oral communications skills across all levels of management & executive staff
An unwavering commitment to integrity and internal controls is a must
Strong proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Six Sigma & lean principles
Properly manage confidential data including, but not limited to, item costs & construction, labor costs and strategic plans
Oracle systems experience highly preferred.
Fluent in English
University Degree in accounting, finance or business.Master’s degree a plus
