Sensata Technologies, Inc. Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist in Bloomington, Minnesota

The Marketing Communications Professional is responsible for developing marketing strategies and working cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing to drive brand awareness and increase sales. This individual is responsible for developing and executing promotional and marketing campaigns across a variety of media types and outlets. Additionally, the role will be responsible for analyzing marketing and industry research to drive new marketing efforts and strategy.

General Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes promotional campaigns and marketing materials for the designated product or program

  • Leads effective market research studies in order to utilize effective communication distribution channels, and focus on a target market

  • Conduct competitor analysis to execute and develop an innovative, creative and unique marketing communication media strategy

  • Evaluate market campaign performance and offer recommendations

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Participate in developing and executing most efficient strategy to get campaigns to market.

  • Work collaboratively with marketing leadership in executing integrated marketing campaigns with the aim of acquiring new and retaining current customers

  • Ensure accuracy of marketing materials

  • Communicate all channel initiatives to necessary departments, both internal and external, to ensure visibility to channel goals & objectives

  • Ensure successful and timely project completion through effective communication and project management.

  • Able to meet deadlines and work through challenges of timelines in the process

  • Editing and proofreading online communications, direct mail, product literature, and internal and external communication pieces.

  • Maintain an innovative approach to all campaigns, continuing to stay up-to-date on industry trends

  • Participate in developing marketing plans and manage all communication with internal and external sources.

  • Monitor customer research activities and interpret all data for developing marketing strategies.

  • Analyze all market condition and forecast all future trends and prepare accurate various order documents.

  • Perform research related strategies and develop appropriate all related marketing plans.

  • Participate in the development and execution of promotional campaigns and marketing materials for the designated product or program

  • Develop and maintain KPI analytics for marketing activities including lead generation

  • Perform effective market research in order to utilize effective communication distribution channels, and focus on a target market

  • Promote Sensata products and services during events

  • Coordinate the design of promotional material and distributing in online and offline channels

  • Advertise Sensata's products/services on various media channels

  • Coordinate conference / trade show attendance and materials including post-show debriefs

  • Lead collaboration efforts with other business units and corporate functions

  • Participates in developing specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.

  • Performs market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
