Sensata Technologies, Inc. FESH Coordinator in Bergkirchen, Germany

In this role, you will be responsible for Facilities, ESH and Security operations for your Sensata location.

Reporting to the Sub-Regional Facilities, ESH and Security Manager, you will partner closely with subject matter experts and other local departmental leaders on your site to deliver the site Facilities, ESH and Security operations.

Core site Responsibilities will include:

  • Implement Facilities, ESH and Security policies, rules and regulations to stay in compliance to local and corporate standards, as defined by subject matter experts.

  • Coordinate all new site facilities installations locally, overseeing all requirements to be able to support operations warehouse equipment.

  • Take responsibility for the monthly ESH (dashboard) reporting, to include aspects such as utility consumptions, waste handling, safety and health issues

  • Coordinating all aspects of health, safety and environmental management , including but not limited to PPE provision, pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, energy etc

  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety and health (ESH) legislation and that all reporting requirements are met on all ESH legislation (working closely with Corporate ESH Leaders)

  • Support of auditing, analyzing and reporting ESH performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies;

  • Carrying out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce ESH risks/costs and establishing effective targets/objects to improve in line with ISO 14001/ISO45001

  • Promoting and raising awareness, of the impact of emerging ESH issues, whether legislative or best practice, on corporate, ethical and social responsibility;

  • Supporting the development and implementation of an ESH management systems including the maintenance and development of the ISO14001/45001 management standards.

  • Coordinating consultations on ESH matters including providing customer support on all ESH questionnaires/audits

  • Coordinating with senior management and internal staff on ESH matters;

  • Training staff at all levels in ESH issues and responsibilities;

  • Coordinating with Heads of Safety, Health and Environment respectively on all corporate ESH issues and actions/reports.

  • Coordinate site Health & Safety and the Environmental Committees.

  • Fully investigate any incident (accidents/near miss/security etc.) and comprehensively complete all paperwork for review.

  • Act in an advisory capacity regarding health, safety and environmental issues.

  • Maintain adequate records on ESH issues in order to comply with legal requirements

  • Coordinate maintenance of facilities machines, equipment and instruments, supporting where applicable to attain consistent quality outputs.

  • Where applicable, work with internal customers for plant upgrade or rearrangement of plant layouts with maximum space utilization and provide for completion as scheduled.

  • Coordinate the installation, operation and/or maintenance all facilities equipment, instruments inclusive of power substation, air compressors, water and process gas supply, air conditioning systems, cooling towers, boilers, etc,.

  • Provide data for planning of budgets, schedules, facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.

  • Provide data for tracking of budget performances of the site against AP for Facilities, ESH and Security, reviewing monthly as actual data becomes available. Work with your manager to support resolution of any anomalies, or implement agreed changes to return any variations to track.

  • Monitor and report on the occupations of space, including the impact of layout designs for facility expansions.

  • Support your manager to ensure that all leases and property transactions for your site are correctly managed, documents tracked and actions implemented in a timely manner.

  • Manage and support development of your team/contractors (where applicable) to ensure that the highest standards of performance, integrity and diligence are maintained, setting an example to others. Ensure that all team members have appropriate opportunities for self-development and career growth within a vibrant team. Ensure all team members work effectively within the wider organization, and demonstrate “One Sensata” values.

  • Ensure all contractors used on site are assessed, provide required documentation (RAMS, insurance), complete induction and permits to work and are supervised/monitored as required.

  • Facilities Engineering background, Maintenance Excellence Experience, TPM, 5S, Predictive Maintenance, etc. A strong working knowledge of ESH and Security functions is essential.

  • Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc are essential, as is use of company specific applications with appropriate training. AutoCAD, Blueprint Layout and Construction drawing understanding are very desirable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, ME or EE Engineering or ESH related subject is preferred

  • 3-5 years of Facilities and/or ESH related experience

  • Additionally qualifications in NEBOSH international certificate or occupational safety specialists (Sifas) is desirable

  • Domestic & some International travel is required, 5% on average. Early morning or late evening conference calls with colleagues and suppliers may also be necessary occasionally.
