PRECO Electronics, a Sensata Technologies company, is hiring a Business Development Manager to lead business development of new and existing on-road OEM customers in Europe. The market for Advanced Driver Assistance and Autonomy Solutions is growing rapidly. Sensata is at the forefront of this market, providing advanced radar systems, integration and support to OEM truck and bus companies worldwide. The successful candidate will have proven ability to develop existing and new OEM customers and partners, and work as a team with account managers, application engineers and product marketing to integrate PRECO & Sensata products into the customers’ vehicles. As part of our team, you will leverage PRECO and Sensata’s many years of success serving OEM customers to help grow the business in this exciting market.
Lead business development efforts in Europe for Sensata Autonomy Group products, working with respective OEM account managers and engineers, for Europe-based truck and bus OEMs and partners.
Develop and manage all Autonomy Group New Business Opportunities (NBOs) in Europe working as a partner with respective Sensata account managers, application engineers and program managers as a team.
Develop new OEM accounts to integrate radar/perception products as ADAS safety & autonomy options on their trucks; presentation, product evaluation, design-in, certification and product launch.
Understand regulatory requirements and market drivers for ADAS and autonomy solutions, and leverage this knowledge to find new solution opportunities at new and existing OEM customers.
Nurture and grow existing OEM accounts.
Coordinate team resources to ensure OEM account success through the entire project life-cycle; prospecting new opportunities, RFI/RFQ, pre-sales support, engineering, supply-chain and marketing.
Requires a consultative, technical sales approach with the ability to navigate large, complex organizations through the evaluation, development and launch cycle.
Must be able to travel 50-75% of the time.
Help drive product improvements and product roadmap as an advocate for the customer and market.
Identify and help develop partners in ADAS & autonomy which complement Sensata solutions for the customer, in conjunction with product marketing leadership.
Develop and manage rolling 5-year plan for autonomy solutions revenue and NBOs.
Education and Skills Requirements:
At least 10 years’ experience in a technical sales or business development position, preferably providing technology solutions to OEM manufacturers.
Experience with perception sensors, ADAS, autonomy applications is a plus, especially with radar for vehicle ADAS.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field or equivalent work experience.
Highly organized team player who can lead by example and influence to manage successful projects.
Strong ability to communicate both written and oral.
Ability to manage complex projects and navigate large organizations.
Excellent presentation skills, including ability to represent the company at industry events.
Experienced negotiating supplier agreements.
High integrity and customer service mentality.
Proven reliability and expertise, along with business and interpersonal skills, are crucial for this position.
European language skills are desirable.
