Sensata is embarking on an exciting change program to develop and implement a contemporary, world class SIOP process.
The SIOP integration team within Sensata’s Global Operations organization is seeking an individual who has a proven supply planning and master scheduling background to run the Supply and Inventory Management (SIM) process globally across multiple manufacturing sites and business units.
The incumbent will be responsible to deploy, execute, and improve the Sensata’s Supply Planning processes. Lead a global team of SIM’s for the Industrial and Aerospace business and provide a strong linkage between the Business Unit objectives and operational execution to achieve on-time delivery targets to promise date & requested date, inventory optimization for raw and finished goods, capacity, and operating margins.
This role will execute balance the demand and supply cross multiple make site to provide consistent inputs and outputs to the specific Product Family Supply Planning process, run the Supply Review meeting and ensure cross-functional communication of information, leading to timely demand and supply decisions, execution, and closure of all escalations. This role will also execute the Sensata inventory strategy.
The ideal candidate is someone with a track record of high performance in a supply chain leadership role and has a “Customer First” mindset. You will negotiate, influence and resolve internal supply chain issues to achieve customer satisfaction targets at the optimal cost to Sensata. Prior experience in leading and coaching supply chain teams in multiple sites, have strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills is required.
Manage day-to-day supply chain activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, and timeliness of the organization's supply chain
Manage and monitor all supply chain activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of merchandise from suppliers to customers
Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs
Suggest solutions for process improvements and implement solutions in a timely manner
Liaise with functional and operational area managers to ensure ensure supply chain strategies are integrated with other parts of the business
Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage per project
Select and manage ongoing relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to minimize costs and ensure satisfactory standards of service
Manage and develop staff to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members

Develop a constrained supply plan by make site and product families
Work with Make sites SIM’s & Planning Teams to develop robust process to improve delivery performance while optimizing Raw Material, WIP & FG’s inventory
Create scenario plans to balance demand and supply across multiple sites
Establish and execute finished goods and raw material allocation process when supply is constrained due to material availability or capacity constraints
Develop an inventory plan that will support inventory targets through appropriate parameter settings including safety stock and master scheduling static data.
Coordinate operations functions to provide regular guidance and inputs to the Supply Planning process in order to improve execution
Conduct and facilitate what-if analysis to create alternate scenarios for reconciling demand and supply with the financial plan
Run the monthly Supply Review meeting and fully resolve escalations from Demand Reviews
Drive key improvement projects with make site planning and operation teams to improve supply chain performance. Provide thought leadership in solving complex supply planning challenges.
Facilitate product lifecycle visibility in the SIOP process, coordinate capacity solutions and manage phase-in and phase-out inventory risks

Process and Data Orientation
Clearly understands a high volume of data and able to interpret and present to support decision making
Experience in using problem-solving tools and techniques to create improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, engineering, economics or equivalent discipline.
10+ years work experience with relevance to supply planning, master planning and inventory planning.
Previous experience working with global environment.
An analytical mind with attention to detail and an ability to interpret data for decision making.
A passion to succeed and challenge the status quo where value adding.
Advanced Planning System experience preferred (ASCP, APO, Kinaxis, JDA, etc.)
Experience in project management preferred
Supply chain certifications and six sigma experience is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft suites
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10-15% international travel is required
