Sensata Technologies, Inc. Regional Sales Manager - Remote in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Territory Sales Professional is responsible for a territory or geography. The performance of the salesperson is based on the sales within that geography. This role is responsible for executing sales strategies that meet corporate objectives of sales and earnings growth.


General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory/product line.

  • Pursue sales leads

  • Lead in visits to existing and new customers Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services

  • Respond to customer enquiries; and conclude sales orders to meet established revenue targets

  • Innovates and creates sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers

  • Perform supplier audits on site at distributor warehouse locations

  • Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.

  • Initiate regular communication with distributors to mitigate shipment errors and discrepancies

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers


Additional Responsibilities / Qualifications

  • Must have experience managing Manufacturers’ Representatives and working with Distribution Partners.

  • Travel as needed to support Representatives and Customers (25 50% of work days travelling).

  • Ability to recommend and sell multiple complex product lines based on customer application, and to train Representatives on the products.

  • The ideal candidate will live in either the Northeast US or OH/IN/W. PA

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant technical education or work experience required.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM highly preferred.
