The Real Estate Analyst is responsible for performing day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of Sensata’s global property database and associated corporate real estate files, providing project-specific administrative support to the Global Manager of Corporate Real Estate as needed, and supporting possible future transition to a more robust facilities/space/asset management system.
Assists in the cataloging and uploading of any new documents for the property base
Coordinates the centralization of ongoing lease communications that are received from property owners or managers
Participates in updating of data in the property database that includes but is not limited to; internal / external contracts, location headcounts, changes to the lease financials, space utilization information, etc.
Tracks critical lease dates and issues reminders as needed
Assists in follows ups with external brokers and internal personnel to obtain any missing documentation and ensure the completeness of Sensata's global corporate real estate record
Education / Experience
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Following-up as necessary with external (brokers, outside counsel) and internal partners to obtain missing documentation and ensure the completeness of Sensata’s global corporate real estate record
Following-up as needed with finance, accounting, accounts payable/receivable to validate and/or update current real estate-related costs.
Compiling and issuing periodic metrics and analytics reports as directed by Global Manager of Corporate Real Estate.
Provide project-specific administrative support to the Global Manager of Corporate Real Estate as required.
Work with Global Manager of Corporate Real Estate to continuously improve the quality and availability of real estate data, and make upgrades to the existing real estate database as needed.
With guidance from the Global Manager of Corporate Real Estate, undertake the systematic abstraction of key terms in new and existing leases and help to consistently ingest this data into the global property database.
Support possible future transition to a more robust facilities/space/asset management system (eg, CAFM, IWMS, BIM, CMMS, etc.)
Paralegal Certification is a plus.
Real estate-related work experience preferred
Experience with real estate management practices and contracts.
Working knowledge of database management programs.
Travel as needed up to 25% of the time
Computation skills preferred
Meticulous attention to detail preferred
Comfortable learning new technology preferred
