Sensata Technologies, Inc. Quality Assurance Engineer in Attleboro, Massachusetts

This individual will drive Quality Improvements through the Corrective and Preventative Action program in a cross-functional environment. Support the Organizations Internal Audit program and participate in external audits to ensure we maintain regulatory compliance. Assist with content review for Quality System documents and regulatory communication.

  • Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.

  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.

  • Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.

  • Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures.

  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

  • Responsible for driving alignment of both Sensata and customer quality requirements for products, processes and services delivered by Sensata to specific customers or internal product groups.

  • Serves as customer's advocate inside Sensata to drive compliance with all customer quality and reliability requirements and commitments.

  • Acts as primary quality representative to external customers, responsible for continually improving the customer's valuation of the quality experience with any Sensata process, product, or service beginning with new process development, and continuing from new product development through product end-of-life.

  • Serves as the quality and reliability champion for the local business entity.

  • Frequently interacts with customers and Sensata functional group managers and engineers in process and product development, design, test, marketing, manufacturing, etc. These interactions often are about potential, real or perceived customer quality or reliability concerns arising from technical, administrative or logistical events. May interact with customer and Sensata senior management.

  • Receives assignments in the form of broad objectives and establishes detailed action plans to meet objectives. Directs, manages and coordinates activities of functional groups outside of the quality organization to achieve customer quality requirements.

  • Must interact with suppliers and resolve quality issues provided by sub-tiers. On occasion visit and audit suppliers.

  • Must strictly adhere to ITAR guidelines and interpret US Government contracts.Manage QPL requirements (MIL-Spec), and interact with FAA, DCMA and DLA as required.

  • Lead PQST Teams. Experience in Microsoft Office, TrackWise, and Oracle Agile/ERP/OBIEE and NPD. Support RFQ and NBO's.

  • Requires a Bachelors’ degree or equivalent, experience in Aerospace and Defense preferred.

  • Experience in product planning and knowledge of inspection methods in the design, fabrication, and production of electronic equipment. Familiar with Quality problem-solving methods, such as DMAIC, A3, etc.

This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident (i.e., "green card holder") of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
