Sensata Technologies, Inc. Program Manager in Attleboro, Massachusetts

Sensata is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager who will be responsible for end-to-end product lifecycle ownership, including supporting new business wins, developing product and margin roadmaps to drive continuous improvement, overseeing financial and operational product health, and managing end of life part termination. The role requires the ability to think strategically, optimize product portfolio performance, and influence others throughout the organization. This position offers the selected candidate the opportunity to significantly influence financial performance and lead global activity in a fast-paced, growth oriented, automotive technology environment in pursuit of overall business goals.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Program management for new product launch & improvement programs of significant importance to the business

  • Customer account management - working with global team consisting of engineering, quality, marketing, sales, customer service and operations

  • Developing Product Life Cycle Management objectives and securing business support for successful implementation of targeted change management projects and strategic business initiatives

  • Facilitating global, cross-functional teams in support of business goals

  • Achieving results in a highly global matrixed environment

  • Evaluating business proposals through cost estimating and discounted cash flow analysis

  • Development & execution of initiatives to drive improved operational efficiency and cost structure associated with installed capacity

  • Anticipating and communicating issues, recommending corrective action, and taking independent remedial actions and reporting outcomes

The desired candidate will have proven performance in the areas of:

  • Program management and/or Product Management. Accurately scope out the length and difficulty of tasks, and able to assemble resources to get things done effectively and efficiently

  • Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with operational systems and interfaces with production line (demand and material planning). In-depth understanding of key operational elements (yields, OEE, cycle times, etc) that drive forward looking planning on capacity modeling and business objectives.

  • Influencing at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Organizational savvy

  • Multi-tasking

Experience:

  • The desired candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of program and/or product management experience in a high-technology, manufacturing environment.

  • The candidate will have proven leadership and facilitation experience in capacity expansion and optimization initiatives to successful outcomes.

  • PMP Accreditation, working knowledge of Six Sigma or other formal problem solving methodology

  • Working knowledge with AIAG requirements and TS16949 quality system requirements is a plus.

  • Domestic and international travel will be required and estimated <15% of time.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree is required, BS in Engineering is a plus

  • Masters in Management or an MBA is preferred.
