Sensata Technologies, Inc. Production Operator for work in a Clean Room Environment in Attleboro, Massachusetts
Production Operators are responsible for a variety of product assembly, inspection, testing, operation of equipment/tools and material/component processing tasks to meet production schedule requirements to the high-quality standard expected by Sensata Technologies. Our Class 5 Clean Room Production Operators must meet all necessary requirements and undergo specialized training, as devices manufactured there often fly on satellites, space shuttles, fighter planes, commercial airliners and other high-end applications that need an enhanced level of reliability in the end application.
We have multiple openings for this role.
Safely and efficiently meeting all production work requirements assigned to you by following operating procedures and work instructions.
Support preparation of material and customer on-site audits for high reliability devices. This requires support prior to assembly and build completion.
Ability to work effectively in a Class 5 clean room environment with minimal direction and support once training is complete.
Complete clean room training guidelines to identify potential concerns with cleanliness of components for high reliability and all products as they are assembled.
Support annual certification audit as required.
Complete weekly air flow and particle count analysis as required for clean room performance.
Trouble shoot problems quickly and efficiently, seeking advice where necessary.
To produce the highest standard of quality products possible in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
Visually inspect products throughout the stages of production to identify defective parts; component orientation errors, missing components, or wrong part insertion.
Initial testing for product conformity.
Assist others to provide an organized and clean workplace including: all areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways and break rooms using 5S procedures.
Participation in and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
Class 5 or 8 clean room experience preferred
Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work well as a team.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, as well as, comprehend verbal instructions and effectively communicate verbally
Ability to self-start, yet take orders as directed.
Ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit or stand as required to perform essential functions.
Consistent and punctual attendance required. Must be available to work assigned shifts and required overtime.
Because this position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident (i.e., "green card holder") of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
