Sensata Technologies, Inc. Paralegal / Legal Assistant in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Paralegal is responsible for coordinating and conducting internal audits, analyzing the designated policies, documents or systems, and providing any findings or recommendations to upper level management. If any findings and recommendations need to be made, this employee should coordinate follow ups with that respective department.


General Responsibilities

  • Leads overall reviewing of the organizations systems and processes through reviewing manuals, policies, reports and other documentation to better understand the organization

  • Leads the collecting, examination and analysis of miscellaneous documents and information to ensure full company compliance

  • Leads with recommending and implementing any necessary changes, updates or necessary improvements

  • Researches legal precedents, performs investigative work and prepares legal documents

  • Provides support to internal legal team, as well as other internal departments and employees

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers


General Responsibilities

  • Legal Tracker . Support new matter intake and maintain/update electronic matter management system (Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker). Identify opportunities for improvement and implement new practices/processes as appropriate.

  • Ethics Hotline . Under the supervision of Legal/AGC, manage the Ethics hotline (NAVEX), including 1) conducting analytics of open, closed, substantiated and unsubstantiated cases, 2) following up with investigators and concerned business management regarding investigation reports and updates, 3) ensuring proper documentation for closed cases, including completion of corrective actions/remedial measures, 4) analyzing root causes and 5) issuing monthly status reports.

  • Warranty . Track warranty-related concerns related to “higher-risk” matters, in coordination with Legal, as well as Product Safety, Cybersecurity and other functions; facilitate and organize periodic calls to review the status of warranty matters, including accountabilities/responsibilities/obligations.

  • Records Retention . Assist Legal/AGC in various/routine records management matters (e.g., retention schedules, legal holds, etc.)

Experience / Qualifications

  • Extensive experience and familiarity with Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional maturity.
