Sensata Technologies, Inc. Marketing Analyst, Ventures in Attleboro, Massachusetts
The Marketing Analyst will work with the Ventures team to develop go-to-market strategies, product roadmaps, pricing strategies and provide competitive insights for Sensata's existing and future offerings in the clean energy sector.
A significant part of the role will include new business development, involving company/technology scouting, developing business plans, and supporting M&A activities relating to clean energy and electrification.
Works within a multi-site, cross-functional matrixed operation to deliver exceptional customer service
Handles new business opportunities to help define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment
Make recommendations to improve product quality and/or feature sets, service and responsiveness to customers
Respond to customer product and application inquiries via telephone or email, provide product pricing and availability, and monitor competitive activity in order to identify customer needs
Run technical training courses and application workshops regarding products for customers, salespeople, distributors, or manufacturer’s reps
Provide assistance to leverage current portfolio of products and services to drive penetration in key accounts and profitable long term growth
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Develops marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena
Leads market research activities, identifies customer needs and develops the value proposition for Sensata’s products
Analyzes target industry sectors, companies and applications to develop new business opportunities for Sensata for new and existing products / technologies
Develops business plans for NBOs and new business opportunities
Supports M&A activities including target sourcing, strategic due diligence and supports post-M&A integration activities
