Sensata Technologies, Inc. Laboratory Coordinator in Attleboro, Massachusetts
This Laboratory Coordinator role will focus on managing toolcribs in a laboratory environment and will also be a point person in the organization for scheduling engineering tests and equipment calibrations. Responsibilities include using Oracle to purchase items, tracking and communicating the receipt of these items, using inventory management software to add items or issue items, and use our Sensata lab management software to assist with scheduling test runs. This person will work with a large amount of people across different businesses at Sensata. They will need to have great communication skills, the ability to learn and use different types of software, organizational skills, and a customer service mentality.
In person, hands-on management of a toolcrib, controlling inventory by using computer software, ordering/stocking items, and checking equipment in and out
Compile data and provide metrics such as toolcrib project spending, equipment utilization, cycle time, and equipment utilization
Interfacing with other groups such as facilities and lab team members in order to schedule regular cleaning and maintenance
Create/modify written procedures and keep lab documents up to date
Clearly and concisely communicate information to peers, managers, and customers in a dynamic environment
Overcome obstacles with internal customers and with suppliers and drive to achieve goals
Must be flexible and able to move from a given assigned task to another assigned task on short notice
Must be conscious of surrounding environment and practice behaviors that promote a safe engineering test lab and sample line
Manage and track a list of issues and drive resolutions independently as well as with other groups
Understanding of process controls and six sigma techniques
Familiarity with inventory management systems
Prior experience interfacing with numerous customers
Experience with data analysis tools desirable (e.g., Excel, Minitab, etc.)
1-2 years of administrative experience
