Sensata Technologies, Inc. Digital Technologies MES Architect in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Digital Technologies MES Architect is responsible for the overall solution design and will provide day to day oversight, direction and guidance to the deployment team, and coordinate with other stakeholders such as Product Management to successfully deliver solutions. They will be responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working principally with senior management. They will also assess near-term needs and develop technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs verses benefits, and impact on other business processes and systems priorities. This individual will partner with the functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to development of long-range system plans, and ensure products and services are aligned with business needs.

General Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Business partners, IT leadership and other technical managers to oversee the strategic development of internal and cloud-based systems and help build and maintain 3-5-year roadmap for key business processes and systems.

  • Work with business & IT to build solutions based on best practices, that utilize technologies already available where appropriate.

  • Own the evaluation of new solutions and their ability to meet business requirements.

  • Provide insights to Master Data Team for building MDM solutions around Customer, Supplier, and Product.

  • Provide insights and design guidance as it relates to system integrations.

  • Provide business architecture, systems architecture, and systems processing guidance to IT teams including Business Analysts, System Analysts, and Infrastructure teams.

  • Assist in IT Integration for M&A as well as divestures.

  • Guide team in templatizing data conversions activities to reduce project cycle time.

  • Lead and approve design reviews.

  • Create and maintain System Architecture documents.

  • Adjust architectures to support changing requirements, maintaining performance, reliability, and security.

  • Lead team and guide them through the enhancement requests.

  • Where appropriate, leverage Agile and devOps methodologies.

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Ability to look at the big picture and translate it to executable plan for Enterprise solutions and SaaS solutions.

  • Proven experience developing & implementing a solutions architecture roadmap.

  • Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience conducting technology, trends, standards and products research.

  • Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks while having multiple priorities.

  • Experience providing guidance and leadership to novice IT personal.

  • Proven experience identifying, analyzing and resolving system problems.

  • Solution & architect capabilities for MES systems.

  • Architect new solutions leveraging MES and integrate with Oracle ERP.

  • Knowledge of industrial automation protocols and standards

  • Experience with data analytics and vis
