Sensata Technologies, Inc. Compensation Consultant in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Global Compensation Consultant will be a key member of the Global Compensation team headquartered in Attleboro, MA. The position will report to the Director of Compensation and Benefits and collaborate with HR colleagues from around the world to help support the company’s overall compensation strategy and marketplace competitiveness. This position will be the subject matter expert in regards to the Company’s salary structure, job structure, as well as providing consultative guidance to his/her customers and business groups.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Partners directly with the global human resource team to provide consultative guidance and support on a range of day-to-day compensation matters regarding compensation policies, practices, programs, philosophy and compliance requirements

  • Manages a Compensation Analyst, providing mentoring, coaching and development opportunities

  • Identify and recommend improvements and efficiencies around compensation processes and programs

  • Conduct job evaluation using market data and internal evaluation, and regularly analyze our market position on jobs; make compensation recommendations on promotions and market adjustments to ensure market competitiveness

  • Manage third party global compensation survey process including job matching, survey participation and utilizing data results to ensure competitive positioning and to identify industry trends

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of standardized global job descriptions and job families, determining appropriate exemption status under FLSA guidelines

  • Help to develop and improve internal overall compensation communication and education

  • Provide support, analytics for the annual compensation planning process

  • Performs annual salary structure analysis and recommends adjustments that align with the compensation philosophy. Prepares and presents annual salary structure presentation to organizational leadership

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Compensation/HR professional

  • Strong analytical skills; Good skills in MS Office with strong Excel skills

  • Workday and/or other HRIS system experience desired

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, matrix, global business environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to make decisions
