The Business Relationship and Program Manager is an innovative leader who creates business value by creating and maintaining an active, collaborative relationship between Sensata IT and Sensata Business and Organizational Leaders to discover and advance key initiatives. The primary responsibility of this individual is to ensure a common understanding of strategic objectives across the organization and to propose, evaluate and advance technology solutions to meet those objectives.
Business Relationship Management
Represents the Sensata IT organization and establishes a reputation as a trusted advisor at the appropriate leadership level of assigned business units and/or corporate organizations. Understands and can articulate the business goals, related strategic objectives and key initiatives.
Establishes credibility by providing insight and manages expectations on how the effective and innovative use of technology can be used to optimize and integrate processes to achieve business outcomes and realize benefits.
Works with team members to design and continuously improve processes that support and strengthen business and IT relationships such as quarterly executive briefings, participation in strategic planning, and developing application road maps.
Responsible for oversight of key projects and regularly reporting out to executives on programs and projects across the organization and on activities being conducted by the IT organization
Supports Sensata IT and business project managers to address scope changes, dependencies and other issues while minimizing disruption to the stated project timeline and committed deliverables.
Serves as a business leadership escalation point for technology and product related needs and concerns related to implementation, service, operations and sales. Holds IT areas accountable to remediate and address root causes.
Demand Management and Program Portfolio Oversight
Facilitates the creation of business cases and establishes business value and measurements to support project intake and prioritization.
Help building business cases around additional resource need across various IT functions to address resource constraints to execute various projects and demands (Scale, Transform, M&A, KTLO)
Participates in requirements definition and works with BRM team members and technical leaders to identify solutions that will achieve the desired business outcomes and align with the technology strategy.
Understands business demand based on forecasts and partners with business leaders and other key stakeholders on strategic project prioritization activities.
Defines and improves processes related to managing project demand, capital planning, and planning IT resource needs to deliver portfolio commitments.
Experience / Competencies
A university degree and 6+ years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 2-4years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)

Time Management - Ability to assessing your ability to manage your time, and the effectiveness of your team to reach department objectives

Decision making - Ability to think through possibilities and make sound decisions with appropriate degree of risk; knows when he / she has enough data to make an informed decision
