Sensata Technologies, Inc. Assistant Treasurer in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Assistant Treasurer position focuses on monetary transactions and maintains strict records of cash, as well as manages a team of analysts who perform specific reports and analyses on certain financial aspects of the company.

General Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective global cash management strategy to support the growth initiatives of the Company

  • Manage global banking operations including account openings, access and updates and commercial banking and lender relationships

  • Implement and maintain Treasury policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with internal controls

  • Identify and implement best practices and improve automation of key processes such as cash and foreign currency reporting and forecasting

  • Develop treasury and cash management metrics and provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management

  • Provide support to Finance leadership to develop an effective foreign cash repatriation strategy

  • Manage all aspects of the Company’s insurance programs including assessment of risks and maintenance of appropriate insurance coverages in response to identified risks on a worldwide basis

  • Support external audit requirements

  • Serve as a Treasury point of contact to peers across the organization

  • Directs and oversees responsibilities of team to ensure priorities and deliverables are met

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members

  • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Develop initiatives to benchmark and optimize working capital, ROIC, etc.

Plan and manage the company’s capital structure, including analysis and implementation of capital return programs and optimal liquidity

Evaluate, structure, and execute capital markets transactions such as debt issuance in the public debt markets

Manage long- and short-term debt and monitor the markets for opportunities to minimize interest rate risk

Establish and manage relationships with major commercial banks, investment banks, rating agencies and other external advisors in order to achieve favorable terms and to create the most effective and productive treasury department

Manage and make recommendations for share repurchase and dividend programs

Manage reporting to senior management and the board of directors

Lead the cash flow and balance sheet forecasting process, as well as interest expense/income for the P&L

Ensure effective cash management, including working with business leaders on policies and training for cash handling procedures

Manage enterprise financial risk and partner with other internal stakeholders to reduce risk and capture cost savings opportunities

Ensure that proper controls and procedures are in place and compliance with SOX standards are met Plan and manage the company’s capital structure, including analysis and implementation of capital return programs and optimal liquidity
