Sensata Heavy Vehicle Off Road (HVOR) Business unit is expanding due to many new opportunities being won. It is looking for a highly motivated Project Manager who will join the growing HVOR Project Management team. You will be an outstanding cross-functional leader, responsible for providing governance, monitoring and assurance for our global clients.

The successful candidate will manage complex solution + product projects that meet clients’ needs + are in line with Sensata business priorities. We need an influencer and organiser who thrives in a fast-paced environment of complexity. You will have significant experience of successfully managing a range of complex, high value, transformation projects and programmes from project start up through to project closure, developing robust and trusting relationships internally and externally.

General Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

  • Develops comprehensive project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Defines project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals

  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Regularly communicates and presents project schedules, statuses, and updates to various team members and bringing solutions/opportunities

  • Report and escalate to management as needed

  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-functional team in defining a system and product roadmap, in line with customer and business priorities

  • Lead all aspects in defining a business case for new HVOR opportunities

  • Ability to define & implement product cost roadmap in line with the company’s priorities

  • Lead specific Change Management projects in line with customer and company requirements

  • Customer facing project management

  • Managing new technology developments in line with how the heavy vehicle industry is changing

Specific Experience/Qualifications

  • You must have a Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline

  • Experience in working in an Agile development environment

  • Experience leading Hardware, software and system development project

  • It would be desirable that you have a background in an Automotive or fast paced technology development environment

  • 3+ years’ experience in Project Management.
