Sensata Technologies, Inc. Graduate Systems Design Engineer in Antrim, United Kingdom
The Graduate Systems Design Engineer will work within a cross functional team to deliver automotive electronics projects, to the world’s biggest and most prestigious automotive manufacturers.
This includes working with stakeholders to implement products, features and technologies.
Participates within a cross functional team
Coordinates with customer technical and project personnel
Assists with both external and internal stakeholder requirements for new products / features / technology developments
Participates in system specifications and formalized representations of solutions (for example, flow charts, models) to develop systems that meet customer needs
Working closely with internal Sensata sub system design teams to refine implementation of products / features / technologies & specifications to ensure they meet stakeholder’s needs
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 4 years.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Systems engineering for Tyre Management Systems product development, including requirement engineering, system design, analysis, and validation
Understanding customer technical requirements and expectations, and developing/driving system solutions from concept to launch
Supporting proof-of-concept demonstrations to customers and development partners
Algorithm development and modelling of system level behaviour for new functionality
Deploying functionality on Sensata developed hardware or via integration projects with world class development partners
The role is customer facing so occasional foreign travel is required
