Sensata Technologies, Inc. Automotive Aftermarket Product Manager - TPMS EU in Antrim, United Kingdom

The Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning of a product portfolio and provide operational support for existing products. The role requires the ability to develop roadmaps on new and existing products that align with the company’s strategic, operational, and financial objectives.

General Responsibilities

  • Drives the development of actionable product roadmaps integrating inputs cross-functional stakeholders in support of our business objectives & product strategy

  • Manage product positioning in the marketplace, including rationalizing pricing strategy based on market conditions

  • Develop product strategy and optimize product portfolio, providing planning and project prioritization

  • Contributes to the pricing strategy through the product life cycle

  • Drives the development and execution of the product roadmap to improvement

  • Provide support for operational issues associated with quality, delivery and production

  • Anticipating and communicating issues, recommending corrective action, and taking independent remedial actions and reporting outcomess

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Creating and maintaining the EU TPMS Automotive Aftermarket product portfolio and ensuring the Automotive Aftermarket database is populated and maintained up to date.

  • Engaging in technical decisions affecting the Automotive Aftermarket such as new product developments and part consolidations.

  • Working closely with EU Sales teams and PMT to target and introduce new OES TPMS opportunities to the Automotive Aftermarket.

  • Detailed analysis of EU TPMS database to identify priorities for app code developments.

  • Approving technical specifications for Automotive Aftermarket purposes in respect of products and services. May also include PPAP requirements.

  • Provide technical leadership for training and marketing materials along with AFM and BU engineering teams.

  • Identifying competitor parts and determining benchmarking requirements, compatibility and coverage with respect to ST products, sources of information for database and catalogues.

  • Support of customers, sales teams and tech support with respect to technical specifications and vehicle applications.

  • Provide support to Automotive Aftermarket team members on all part set-up, price scraping, quote generation and any other systems used within Automotive Aftermarket.

  • Instigate updating of Automotive Aftermarket BOM’s for changes and new products.

  • Regular participation in team meetings and calls including preparation and delivery of regular data.

  • Close engagement with sales team to ensure consistent pricing across products and regions.

  • Liaise with legal, contract and compliance teams where necessary.

Specific Experience/Qualifications

  • At least 4 years’ experience within the manufacture and distribution of TPMS or 6 years’ experience for a similar automotive based sensor technology would be desirable

  • Additionally, 4+ years’ experience in project management, a commercial product management role for a technical product or 6+ years in an engineering role with project and customer facing responsibilities would be an advantage.

Please note that occasional travel will be required for equipment installation and support
