Sensata Technologies, Inc. Production Planning Supervisor in Aguascalientes, Mexico

Manage production planning activities, develop and implement strategic planning management initiatives that align customer and business strategies in order to optimize a build plan, meet customer expectations and achieve business excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and resolve outstanding materials issues for different production lines with internal & external to avoid material shortages.

  • Review all relevant policies and procedures with planners, instructing them regarding the specific instruction to their assignments. Ensure each individual’s comprehension, as well as his or her on-going support and compliance.

  • Define and monitor key performance metrics.

  • Monitor and continuously improve relevant planning metrics. Create a focused effort for team to achieve/exceed the goals.

  • Prepare periodic performance review the planning goals and objectives with teams.

  • Utilize and participate in the development of processes and tools to enhance the way we perform the function.

  • Empower all Planners and coach them to champion and take ownership of the efforts as related to their needs.

  • Recruit and maintain high performing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.

  • Above 3 years of working experience with at least 2 years of experience in production / materials planning management related field, or 2 years of experience in supervisory role.

  • Experience in managing inventory.

  • Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and Oracle/ERP capacity analysis experience.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and both oral and written interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities. Time management skill.

  • Ability to provide leadership, direction, and to identify and resolve problems independently.

  • Good English language ability in reading, writing and speaking.
