Sensata Technologies, Inc. Operational Market Segment Leader in Aguascalientes, Mexico

The Operational Market Segment Leader supports tactics to achieve current-year business commitments and long-term business goals related to the Chassis and Safety segments. It is an entrepreneurial role requiring initiative, customer relationship-building, communication, analytical, and leadership skills, as well as a thorough understanding of market trends, customers, vehicle systems, competition, and technologies. The role is an industrial B2B technical marketing position. A Marketing Segment Leader is the link between all disciplines involved in executing our growth strategy, and must be able to manage technical and commercial topics and teams.

General Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing and executing most efficient strategy to get campaigns to market

  • Work collaboratively with marketing leadership in executing integrated marketing campaigns with the aim of acquiring new and retaining current customers

  • Ensure accuracy of marketing materials

  • Communicate all channel initiatives to necessary departments, both internal and external, to ensure visibility to channel goals & objectives

  • Ensure successful and timely project completion through effective communication and project management

  • Able to meet deadlines and work through challenges of timelines in the process

  • Editing and proofreading online communications, direct mail, product literature, and internal and external communication pieces

  • Maintain an innovative approach to all campaigns, continuing to stay up-to-date on industry trends

  • Participate in developing marketing plans and manage all communication with internal and external sources

  • Monitor customer research activities and interpret all data for developing marketing strategies

  • Analyze all market condition and forecast all future trends and prepare accurate various order documents

  • Perform research related strategies and develop appropriate all related marketing plans

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree)

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Provide demand and revenue forecast inputs

  • Strategic Intent Plan, Long Range Plan (5 years), Annual Plan (1 year)

  • Deliver accurate Annual and Long Range net revenue growth plan based on market dynamics and customer guidance.

  • Defend incumbent positions against competitive entry

  • Manage product positioning in the market place, including rationalizing pricing strategy based on market conditions.

  • Lead competitive benchmarking team activities, including both commercial and technical dimensions, and integrate benchmarking data into product and margin roadmaps.

  • Drive short-term and long-term revenue growth

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize competitive, legislative, and technical discontinuities that present opportunities or threats.

  • Responsible for pricing strategy and profitability for all new business opportunities within segment.
