Sensata Technologies, Inc. Logistic Financial Analyst - Americas in Aguascalientes, Mexico

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing product delivery and supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes. Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data and providing logistics information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high quality logistics solutions.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliability, integrity and accuracy of data

  • Undertake detailed and thorough logistics analysis

  • Ensure analysis is in line with business goals and targets

  • Make recommendations based on findings and analysis

  • Produce forecasts and estimates to aid financially sound decisions and cash flow planning

  • Ensure logistics costs are monitored, managed and under control

  • Collaborate with manager or stakeholders to determine effective solutions

  • Set up and provide regular reports and data relating to specific areas of the logistics process such as supplier analysis, transportation costs

  • Track logistics trends and use information to recommend changes

  • Utilise knowledge and research methods to benchmark logistics activities

and to drive best practice results

  • Work with Logistics and other appropriate staff to resolve issues as and when required

  • Provide additional analytical support as required

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree)

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Drive correct accruals for main Global carriers and communicate timely with Finance dept.

  • Analyzing the Freight and WHS/DCs budgets, primarily for FTW; generate forecasts, performance analysis, reporting, productivity opportunities.

  • Integrate with global process for generating actual and FCST spend amounts for GBU FRT and WHS spend. This will include STD FRT and special cause.

  • Produce ad-hoc reports as requested from other departments/stakeholders as required.

  • Apply Oracle and analytical methods to continuously optimize transportation using capabilities such as simulation, transportation costing and statistical analysis

  • Publish KPI for different transportation modes and spend at each sites in the region to provide appropriate recommendation for improvement.

  • Monitor, review and suggest improvement recommendation on Key Performance Indicators for different Transportation modes at Global level and take action when appropriate (monthly basis)

  • Create and implement Global processes and reports related with monthly accruals, forecast by BU and production line; Specific impacts etc.

  • Extract and analyze the system report from Oracle, OBIEE, Hyperion

  • Ensuring timely entering of PO for transport carriers

  • To drive improvement and optimization with nVision and aligning all global sites utilizing one single source of truth for freight bills from carrier.

  • Coordinate nVision implementing for new carriers
