Sensata Technologies, Inc. Import/ Export Analyst in Aguascalientes, Mexico

Import/Export analyst supports daily import/export activities, resolving issues occurred during import/export operations, instructing forwarders, rise claims carriers, agents and customs brokers on operation methods and handling procedures, and making decision to ensure smooth goods delivery, customs clearance and meet production and customer requirement. This role is to administrate, control and manage daily import/export activities, resolve issues occurred during import/export operations, until deliver to warehouse, distribution center or customer.


  • Coordinate import / export of raw materials, finished goods, spare, machines importing according local regulations and documents requested by authorities.

  • Work with the broker on the custom clearance and import products. Follow urgent shipment and arrange the priority. Shorten transportation lead time. Including quality on deliveries goods.

  • Interface with Planning department / Customer Service Representatives concerning quantity of products on daily basis.

  • Equipment import, applies for the pre-inspection certificate, Customs duty exemption. Communicate with project teams of cross functions to get the equipment moving smoothly.

  • Prepare all needed delivery documents. Follow up the export customs clearance of finished goods. Communicate the shipping information with customers / planning team to ensure the goods arrive on time.

  • Guide the cross function teams on sample and spare parts import and export process.

  • Trouble shooting on import and export activities, alert and solve the unexpected problem timely. Make decisions and suggest solutions to all problems arising during export or import aiming at 100% in time, quality & delivery.

  • Maintain import and export logistics database, keep the hardcopy record.

  • Verify the forwarder and broker invoices of import and export shipments.

  • Control of expedite freight, through approvals system.

  • Define solutions for cost reduction, new routes or saving projects related to import or export.
