Sensata Technologies, Inc. Trade Compliance System Analyst in Tijuana, Mexico
The Trade Compliance System Analyst position is accountable for developing, maintaining and administering internal customs inventory control system used by Sensata Mexican Entities. This role ensures compliance with inventory database management regulations and government reporting as established in Annex 24 and Annex 31 of Mexican Foreign Trade Rules.
Maintain complete administration of the internal customs inventory control system (Annex 24) utilized by the import and export operation.
Responsible for maintaining the data base of the inventory control system (Annex 24) accurate and reconciled against official Mexican Customs Report (Data Stage).
Responsible to obtain the necessary information to prepare the analysis to be able to perform the discharge process such as bill of materials, values and costs information, HTS codes, etc.
Manage the discharge process for materials and components temporary imported into Mexico thought the inventory control system bimonthly. Present results to management to take the appropriate actions to be able to keep the inventory balances accurate and correct.
Manage the discharges process for machinery and equipment imported temporary to Mexico though the customs inventory control system.
Prepare the appropriate discharges reports for consumptions of materials, components and machinery as required by the VAT certification and submit the report through the Government portal (SAT portal) as required by Annex 31 of the Foreign Trade Laws.
Track and report materials and components imported to Mexico in temporary basis that are not getting the correct consumptions in the discharge process through the correct bill of materials.
Track and report materials that are obsolete or have low movement to take the appropriate actions. Avoid open balances exceed the allowed period to remain in Mexico to comply with the IMMEX Foreign Trade Rules.
Track and control scrap though the inventory control system (annex 24).
Reconcile open import balances from the internal inventory control system with physical inventory as registered in JDE in a monthly basis.
Update customs inventory control system with new bill of material information maintained in JDE system before processing discharges.
Update unit cost, landed cost and computed cost at least every quarter.
Review, audit and perform appropriate corrections to information contained in the master catalog to keep information accurate and correct at all times.
Prepare INEGI report and sub-maquila report every month as required by Mexican Foreign Trade Laws.
Review and validate MX classifications of parts and materials to reconcile with Mexican broker information.
Support the trade compliance supervisor and/or other trade compliance management with reports and information from the customs inventory control system.
Gather information and prepare periodic updates and metrics reports for import and export operations.
