Sensata Technologies, Inc. Supply Chain Planner in Tijuana, Mexico

In this position, the Supply Chain Planner will have a leading role in defining an integrated supply chain that will produce sustained on time delivery performance, targeted customer lead time breakthroughs and optimized financial results.

They will lead the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process for your product family to efficiently achieve customer service levels & Sensata’s revenue projections. This is a highly visible position with interaction globally and with all levels of the supported business and manufacturing site leadership teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by collaborating with the broader team to achieve a profitable end to end supply response accounting for trade-offs.

  • Design the supply chain to meet customer on time delivery (OTD) expectations at the best delivered cost.

  • Lead rough cut Finished Good (FG) equipment capacity analysis to sense potential gaps in the 18 month time horizon.

  • Develop global cell/site capacity flexibility analysis and recommended improvement actions

  • Develop and maintain FG inventory models.

  • Review performance to model and initiate required actions to achieve model.

  • Recommend manufacturing models and corresponding inventory strategies that satisfy requirements for inventory, operations costs, lead time to customers and on time delivery targets.

  • Review forecasts to ensure changes are not passed to Oracle without clear understanding and validation.

  • Ensure Oracle parameters are optimized for demand signal integrity.

  • Manage global allocation in situations where demand significantly exceeds supply.

  • Develop and track supply chain performance measurements to provide feedback on execution, identify improvement opportunities and drive change.

Requirements :

  • BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or similar required

  • Masters in Supply Chain or an MBA is a plus

  • 5-7 years related experience in supply chain management

  • Experience understanding the financial influence of inventory, lead time, how logistics align with business objectives, and P&L

  • Strong analytical problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to accept new ideas, engage in creative, innovative and systemic thinking to develop unique, differentiated solutions to complex problems

  • Ability to listen, influence others, manage change and effectively motivate through open communication

  • Ability to prioritize critical issues and display the initiative and flexibility in dealing with them

  • Understanding of an ERP system; Oracle experience is preferred

  • Program/Project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills

  • APICS and Lean certification preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of your time, both domestic and international
