The Marketing Communications Specialist is accountable for assisting in the development and implementation of the marketing plan for the assigned brands/businesses in order to help achieve marketing, commercial and channel goals. Owns marketing communication initiatives from start to finish; works with key stakeholders to determine project strategies, objectives, and timelines, and reports on measurable results to team members. Manages MarCom activities based on needs of commercial, segment and product marketing groups to ensure consistency of brand communications across various media in the execution of marketing communications programs. Develops marketing mix strategy for assigned product lines/brands with respect to changing market conditions, tracks results and makes adjustments accordingly to achieve the long-run performance objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists in development and implementation of communication plans focused on supporting marketing, commercial and channel strategies.

  • Develops marketing mix strategy for assigned product brands with respect to changing market conditions, tracks results and makes adjustments accordingly to achieve objectives of building awareness, interest, purchase and loyalty.

  • Manages customer-directed pull communication activities according to the marketing mix plan across various channels including, advertising, press relations, web, SEO, social media, collateral, and trade shows.

  • Assists and coordinates creation of promotional communication materials including product literature, brochures, newsletters, product photography, videos, webinars and advertisements.

  • Works with engineering, marketing and sales teams to write press releases, editorial articles and web content.

  • Coordinates media production and placement in appropriate trade publications.

  • Develops and coordinates creation of material for the channel management team to support push communication strategies targeted towards channel partners.

  • Works with product marketing teams to coordinate and efficiently run marketing initiatives and product launches; develops and implements marketing communication production timelines and prioritizes all tasks.

  • Develops measurement techniques to help determine effectiveness of current marketing programs with the goal of maximizing return on objectives and investments.

  • Manages assigned budgets including recording and tracking of assigned brands/businesses.

  • Organizes sharing and distribution of marketing resource materials with internal teams and channel partners including brochures, product information and photographs.

  • Coordinates with and manages external vendors and agency partners (including social media, SEO, public relations, design, photography, advertising, translation and show organization agencies) to ensure their work meets the company’s requirements, deadlines and budget.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related area. B2B market experience preferred.

  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures related to Graphic Design, traditional and digital media, public relations and project management.

  • Leadership, positive attitude and team player with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent command of the English language, written and spoken.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including ability to multi-task

  • Proficient in MS Office. General working knowledge of design tools and outputs. (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.). Experience with Google Analytics and social media management platforms preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Creative and resourceful
