  • Strong negotiation skills and able to drive cost reduction programs including supplier relocation to low cost country, design changes, etc.

  • Ability to negotiate Long Term Agreements / Price Agreement Negotiation

  • Negotiate major contracts involving large dollar amounts

  • Identifies and selects vendors to procure commodities meeting criteria of price, quality, quantity, availability, and delivery dates and places orders and follow up all approval process.

  • Monitor closely cost of materials and make a plan to reduce cost on high spend items to get savings of 5% per year.

  • Determines method needed to process requisition such as bid, or blanket contract.

  • Interviews sales representatives and researches companies to develop new sources of supplies and secure favorable terms for the company.

  • Establishes blanket purchase agreements with vendors setting dollar limitations and time of contract limitations.

  • Monitors the maintenance of records regarding pricing and ordering of materials; prepares reports analysis and recommendations.

  • Work closely with QC and Engineering department to keep high standard of quality from suppliers in regards to on time delivery as well of quality of materials received.

  • Ability to work under tight time deadlines, with frequently changing priorities.

  • Skill in preparing and analyzing technical specifications, bids and proposals.

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Monitors the maintenance of records regarding pricing and ordering of materials; prepares reports analysis and recommendations.
